Manuel Gallardo - Operations Project Manager / 2018
I am a third generation cook. I started at the age of 12 working summers, springs, holiday breaks, and special events at one of my grandmother's restaurants in Denver, CO and developed a passion for the kitchen that lead to my education at the California Culinary Academy and the Culinary Institute of America.
My diverse background has taken me to many realms of the culinary field from continuous care retirement communities, destination resorts, corporate dining, catering in the Napa and Silicon Valleys, award-winning restaurants, convention hotels, world-class country clubs, and university dining halls. I have catered to hundreds upon hundreds of the top athletes in the world at large-scale events as well as worked at some of the top restaurants in the nation.
I've been a member of the "Chef Association of the Pacific Coast" since 1988 and served five terms on the Board of Directors. I also had the honor of being nominated for two consecutive years as "Chef of the Year," for which I was proudly awarded the title in 2014.
Outside of the kitchen, I enjoy spending time with my wife, children, grandsons, giving back to the community, and sharing the love of food and wine with all who love to eat.
